Suitable for

• Speech, presentations, and conference rooms
• Instrument miking in rehearsals and studio tracking
• Podcasting and broadcasting where flexible positioning is required

Key specifications

• Microphone type: gooseneck dynamic/transducer design suitable for speech and vocals
• Polar pattern: focused pickup for reduced off-axis noise
• Frequency response: balanced range for clear vocal reproduction
• Construction: robust metal gooseneck and housing for durability
• Mounting: compatible with common microphone stands and desktop mounts

How to use

Position the gooseneck so the capsule is aimed toward the sound source at a distance appropriate for the application — typically 5–20 cm for close vocal work or further for ambient capture. Connect the microphone to a suitable input on a mixer, audio interface, or preamp and set gain so the signal is strong without clipping. Use EQ and a gentle high-pass filter if needed to reduce low-frequency rumble. Adjust placement to control proximity effect and balance between direct sound and room ambience.

Recommendations

For best results in speech and vocal applications, place the microphone slightly off-axis to reduce plosive sounds and maintain a consistent distance while speaking or singing. Use a pop filter or foam windscreen in close vocal situations. When mounting on a desk or podium, ensure the stand or clamp is secure to avoid handling noise; when used on stage, verify cable routing to prevent accidental tugging.
