Draka Comteq TM31 patchkábel 5m

The Draka Comteq TM31 5m patch cable is a 5-meter Category 6a network cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, finished in yellow for easy identification. It is intended for structured cabling and short to medium runs between network devices such as switches, patch panels, routers and workstations. The cable supports high-speed data transmission and is suitable for environments that require reliable Ethernet connections.

Advantages

The cable delivers Cat6a performance for improved bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with lower category cables, enabling stable operation at higher data rates. Its molded RJ-45 connectors provide consistent contact and strain relief for frequent plug/unplug cycles. The yellow jacket increases visibility inside racks and cable trays, simplifying cable management and fault tracing. The 5 m length offers flexibility for common patching scenarios without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches to patch panels within server rooms and wiring closets
• Patching between network devices on rack shelves
• Desktop connections to wall outlets or local routers
• Temporary setups for testing, troubleshooting or lab environments

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Length: 5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Conductor arrangement: twisted pair (shielding depends on variant)
• Jacket color: yellow
• Primary use: Ethernet networking, high-speed data links

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 plug into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices until the latch clicks, ensuring secure contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and areas where it may be crushed; maintain bend radius recommended for Cat6a cables to preserve signal integrity. For permanent installations, secure the cable with appropriate clips or cable management accessories to reduce mechanical stress on the connectors and jacket.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the patch cable for horizontal and rack-level connections within the specified length. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimize interference, and replace the cable if connectors or the jacket show visible damage. Test network links after installation with appropriate cabling testers to verify signal levels and confirm Category 6a performance.
