AKG C516 ML stúdiómikrofon

The AKG C516 ML is a wired studio microphone designed for high-quality audio capture in recording and live-sound environments. It covers a frequency range from 60 Hz to 20,000 Hz and provides a clear signal with a signal-to-noise ratio of 63 dB. The microphone has an input impedance of 2000 Ω, uses an XLR-3 device interface and comes in a compact, lightweight design (47 x 235 mm, 64 g) in black finish for easy handling and positioning.

Advantages

The AKG C516 ML offers balanced frequency response suitable for a wide range of sources, from vocals to instruments, while the 63 dB signal-to-noise ratio helps maintain clarity in recordings. Its low weight and slim dimensions allow convenient placement on stands and in tight setups. Wired XLR connectivity ensures a reliable analog connection compatible with common studio and live audio equipment.

Suitable for

• Studio vocal recording
• Instrument recording (guitars, acoustic instruments)
• Live sound reinforcement and PA use
• Podcasting and voice-over in controlled environments

How to use

Connect the AKG C516 ML to a mixing console, preamplifier or audio interface using a standard XLR cable. Position the microphone according to the source — closer for increased presence and farther for a more ambient sound — while observing the specified frequency response for optimal capture. Use appropriate gain staging on the preamp to avoid clipping and to take advantage of the microphone's signal-to-noise characteristics. Mount the microphone on a stand or clip and orient the cardioid pattern toward the desired sound source to reduce off-axis noise.

Recommendations

For best results in studio and live situations, pair the AKG C516 ML with a low-noise preamplifier and use balanced XLR cabling. Place the microphone to minimize reflections and background noise, and allow time for proper gain adjustment to achieve a clean, distortion-free signal.
