Alphacool 17078 fitting

The Alphacool 17078 fitting is a brass connector with a black surface finish, designed for computer liquid-cooling systems. With compact dimensions (20 mm width, 23 mm height) and suitability for 13/10 mm tubing combined with a 1/4" thread, it provides a secure interface between tubing and threaded ports while maintaining a high internal diameter for improved flow.

Advantages

The fitting combines a durable brass body with a chromatised surface layer that is permanently bonded to the metal to prevent peeling. Its inner diameter is optimised for high flow, and the black finish gives a uniform appearance compatible with a wide range of system designs. Alphacool’s production quality and precise manufacturing ensure reliable sealing and consistent dimensions for repeatable installation.

Suitable for

• Custom PC liquid-cooling loops using soft tubing 13/10 mm
• Connections to components with a 1/4" threaded port
• System builds requiring compact, low-profile fittings

How to use

Install the fitting by threading it into a compatible 1/4" port and insert the 13/10 mm soft tubing fully over the barb or compression section according to your tubing type. Ensure the connection is tightened to the component’s specification to avoid leaks. If the system uses clamps or compression rings, position and secure them on the tubing as specified by the clamp manufacturer before pressurising the loop.

Recommendations

Check compatibility of tubing inner and outer diameters and verify thread type before installation; test the loop for leaks at low pressure after assembly and before prolonged operation.
