Belső M.2 adapter DeLOCK 89517

The DeLOCK 89517 is an internal PCIe adapter that adds one M.2 slot to a PC. It supports M.2 modules in 2280, 2260, 2242 or 2230 form factors and can be used to integrate M.2 storage or other M.2 devices into a desktop system. The adapter has a green and white design and is supplied in a box package.

Advantages

This PCIe M.2 adapter provides a simple internal expansion option for systems with available PCIe slots, enabling the installation of a single M.2 module without requiring a dedicated M.2 motherboard slot. It supports multiple M.2 lengths (2280/2260/2242/2230) for flexible device compatibility. An optional cable allows connection of a U.2 SSD where supported; when both the M.2 slot and an external interface are occupied, only the M.2 slot remains active.

How to use

Install the adapter into an available PCIe slot on the motherboard, secure it to the case, and insert the M.2 module of the appropriate length into the M.2 slot. Fasten the module with the included standoff/screw. If required, connect an optional U.2 cable to a compatible U.2 SSD; note that if both the M.2 slot and an external U.2 interface are occupied, only the M.2 slot will be active. After installation, boot the system and verify the device is recognised in firmware/OS.

Recommendations

Use a compatible M.2 module (2280/2260/2242/2230) and ensure the PCIe slot used provides the necessary lanes and power for the intended device. Handle M.2 modules with ESD precautions and consult the motherboard manual for PCIe slot configuration and BIOS/UEFI settings when adding storage devices.
