Bosch 2 607 000 636 csiszolóblokk

The Bosch 2 607 000 636 sanding block is a compact hand tool made from durable cork material, designed to assist with manual sanding tasks. With a width of 100 mm and a depth of 60 mm, the block offers a stable, ergonomic surface for applying sandpaper and working on wood and similar materials. Supplied as a single piece, it is suited for controlled sanding where surface feel and tactile feedback are important.

Advantages

The cork construction provides a balance of firmness and slight flexibility that helps conform to minor surface contours while maintaining even pressure. The 100 x 60 mm footprint delivers good control and reach for edge and flat-area sanding. Its lightweight and compact design improves handling during extended use and reduces fatigue compared with heavier blocks. The wood-colour finish is practical for workshop use and easy to spot among other tools.

How to use

Attach a suitable grade of sandpaper to the block by wrapping or fixing it securely to the cork surface so it lies flat without wrinkles. Hold the block with a comfortable grip and sand along the grain of the wood for best results, using even pressure and long, consistent strokes. Change sandpaper grit progressively from coarse to fine as the surface becomes smoother, and periodically check the block and sandpaper for wear or clogging.

Recommendations

For efficient results, start with a coarser grit to remove material or imperfections, then move to finer grits for a smooth finish. Replace or rotate sandpaper when it becomes clogged to maintain consistent abrasion. Keep the block dry and store in a stable environment to preserve the cork material.
