Bresser Optics VENUS 76/700 AZ reflektor

The BRESSER Venus 76/700 AZ is a Newtonian reflector telescope with a 76 mm primary mirror and a 700 mm focal length housed in a durable aluminium tube with a carbon finish. Fitted on an alt-azimuth mount and supplied with an aluminium tripod, this model is designed for easy setup and straightforward visual observation of the Moon and the brighter planets. The package includes a smartphone camera adapter for simple astrophotography and astronomy software for beginners.

Advantages

The Newton mirror design eliminates chromatic aberration common to refractors, producing more natural colour rendition for planetary and lunar views. The 76 mm aperture offers a balance between light-gathering power and portability for a beginner’s instrument. The alt-azimuth mount provides intuitive horizontal and vertical movement while the included smartphone adapter enables convenient image capture without complex accessories.

Suitable for

• Visual observation of the Moon
• Viewing of near planets (e.g., Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn)
• Beginner astrophotography using a smartphone
• Educational use and introductory astronomy

Key specifications

• Optical design: Newtonian reflector
• Aperture (primary mirror): 76 mm
• Focal length: 700 mm
• Maximum theoretical magnification: up to 525× (depends on eyepiece and conditions)
• Tube material/finish: aluminium tube with carbon finish
• Mount type: alt-azimuth
• Tripod material: aluminium
• Includes: smartphone camera adapter and astronomy software

How to use

Set the telescope on the aluminium tripod and secure the alt-azimuth mount. Insert an eyepiece to start with a low magnification and aim at a bright target such as the Moon to focus and collimate the mirror if necessary. Adjust the mount using the altitude and azimuth controls to centre the object in the field of view. To capture images, attach a smartphone to the supplied adapter, align the phone camera with the eyepiece and take photos or video with the phone’s camera app. Use the included software for star charts, object identification and planning observation sessions.

Recommendations

For best results, observe from a dark location away from direct artificial lights and allow the telescope to reach ambient temperature before detailed viewing. Start with low magnification eyepieces and only increase magnification under good seeing conditions; avoid over-magnifying as image quality depends on aperture and atmospheric stability.
