Dätwyler S/FTP Cat6 patchkábel 21.05.0004 kék 0,5 m

The Dätwyler S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 in blue, length 0.5 m, is designed for short-distance high-speed network connections. It features S/FTP (screened foil twisted pair) shielding that reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, ensuring stable data transfer and compliance with Cat6 performance parameters. The compact 0.5 m cable is suited for patching between switches, patch panels and network devices in dense rack or desktop environments where space is limited.

Advantages

The cable's S/FTP construction combines an overall braided screen with individual foil shields around each twisted pair to provide strong protection against external noise and near-end crosstalk. Cat6-rated transmission supports higher bandwidth and improved signal integrity compared with lower categories. The short 0.5 m form factor minimizes excess cable in patching areas and improves airflow in racks. A robust jacket and reliable RJ45 terminations deliver consistent mechanical and electrical performance over repeated insertions.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches, routers and patch panels in server rooms and data cabinets
• Connecting network appliances and desktop devices where short cable lengths are required
• Environments with moderate to high electromagnetic interference that require shielded cabling
• Structured cabling installations that follow Cat6 standards for gigabit Ethernet

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6 (meets Cat6 electrical performance)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus individual foil around pairs)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Color: Blue
• Connector type: RJ45 to RJ45
• Suitable for: Gigabit Ethernet and compatible network protocols

How to use

Install the patch cable by inserting each RJ45 connector into the corresponding network port on your devices until the latch clicks. Use the 0.5 m cable to connect adjacent ports on switches, patch panels, or to link a device directly to a nearby network port. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling; maintain bend radius recommended for twisted pair cable to preserve signal integrity. For permanent structured cabling runs, select appropriate cable lengths and installation methods; this short patch cable is intended for intra-rack or close-proximity connections.

Recommendations

Use shielded connectors and maintain proper grounding for the network frame in installations exposed to significant electromagnetic interference. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong sources of interference. Periodically inspect connectors for wear and replace cables if physical damage or degraded performance is detected.
