DeLOCK 63828 USB hub

The Delock USB Hub 63828 is a compact metal-housed hub that expands a computer, laptop or mobile device with four USB Type-A ports. It connects via a combined USB Type-A / USB-C™ host interface and supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) data transfer rates up to 5000 Mbit/s. Its short 0.2 m cable and robust metal casing make it suitable for everyday use and travel.

Advantages

The hub provides four USB Type-A downstream ports for connecting USB flash drives, card readers, external enclosures and other USB peripherals. A built-in adapter on the cable lets you switch between USB Type-A and USB-C™ host connections without losing the adapter. The metal housing offers mechanical durability while the compact dimensions (23 × 70 × 18 mm) keep the unit portable.

Suitable for

• Connecting multiple USB Type-A devices to a laptop or desktop
• Using USB peripherals with devices that have only a USB-C™ or USB-A host port
• Portable setups and travel where space and durability are important

How to use

Connect the hub to your computer, laptop or mobile device using the integrated cable. Choose the appropriate host connector by using the adapter on the cable (USB Type-A or USB-C™). Plug your USB Type-A peripherals into the hub’s four downstream ports. The hub is bus-powered and does not require an external power supply for standard USB devices.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect high-speed devices (e.g. external SSDs) directly to a USB 3.2 Gen 1 host port on your computer when possible. Avoid overloading the hub with many high-power devices at once; use a powered USB hub or external power supply if connecting multiple power-hungry peripherals.
