DeLOCK 87729 soros kapcsolóbox kábeles

The DeLOCK 87729 Serial Switch Box Wired is a manual bidirectional switch for RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 interfaces. It enables a physical connection and manual selection between serial devices, providing a simple solution for switching wired serial lines. The unit is designed for standard serial protocols and comes in a black and grey housing.

Advantages

The switch supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 standards and allows stable wired data transmission between connected devices. Its manual bidirectional mechanism enables quick switching without software configuration. The compact design and standard connectors make it compatible with a wide range of serial equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting two serial devices (e.g. computer and modem) to a single RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 port
• Connecting one device to two different serial lines for alternate use
• Industrial control systems, legacy equipment interfaces and diagnostic setups

How to use

Connect the serial cables from the devices to the corresponding ports on the switch. For the first application, connect two devices to the two input ports and use the manual switch to select which device is connected to the single output port. For the second application, connect one device to the output and two serial lines to the inputs, then move the switch to select the active line. No software or drivers are required; switching is performed manually on the hardware.

Recommendations

Use appropriate shielded serial cables and ensure correct wiring for the chosen protocol (RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485). Power off devices when changing connections if recommended by the device manufacturers, and verify signal ground and termination requirements in longer-distance RS-422/RS-485 installations.
