DeLOCK M.2 Key M–PCIe x4 NVMe adapter 64131

The DeLOCK M.2 Key M to PCIe x4 NVMe Adapter (model 64131) enables connection of an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD to a PCIe x4 interface. The adapter uses a flexible 20 cm cable for space-saving and flexible installation inside a PC case and includes the necessary cables. Its compact, lightweight black design is intended for internal PC use and supports high-speed NVMe data transfer. An additional 12 V power connector is provided to supply PCIe cards that require external power.

Advantages

This adapter provides a slim and flexible solution to connect M.2 Key M NVMe SSDs to PCIe x4 slots, allowing installation in constrained spaces thanks to the 20 cm flexible cable. It supports high-speed NVMe transfer rates and includes an auxiliary 12 V power connector to ensure stable operation of devices that need extra power. The compact black housing is lightweight and suitable for internal mounting.

Suitable for

• Installing an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD where only a PCIe x4 slot is available
• Small form-factor or crowded PC cases requiring flexible cable routing
• Use with PCIe cards that may require an additional 12 V power input

How to use

Power off the PC and open the case. Insert the M.2 Key M NVMe SSD into the adapter's M.2 socket and secure it according to the SSD and adapter mounting method. Connect the adapter's PCIe connector to a free PCIe x4 (or higher) slot on the motherboard. If the connected PCIe card or SSD requires external power, attach the provided 12 V power connector. Close the case and power on the system; verify that the SSD is recognised in the BIOS/OS and install any necessary drivers or initialise the drive.

Recommendations

Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before installing the adapter. Use a compatible PCIe slot (x4 or higher) and confirm the M.2 SSD is Key M (NVMe) type. Avoid excessive bending of the flexible cable and secure all connections to prevent signal loss. For best performance, connect to motherboard slots that provide full PCIe lanes and consult your motherboard manual for lane allocation.
