EFB Elektronik EB485V2 DisplayPort–DVI videokábel-adapter

The EFB Elektronik EB485V2 video cable adapter converts a DisplayPort signal to a DVI connection, providing a simple solution for connecting modern DisplayPort-equipped sources to DVI monitors and projectors. Featuring a female DisplayPort connector and a DVI output, the compact black adapter is intended for digital video transmission where DVI displays need to be used with devices that offer DisplayPort only. The adapter is designed for straightforward plug-and-play use without additional drivers.

Advantages

This adapter supports reliable digital video transfer from DisplayPort to DVI, preserving image clarity and resolution within the limits of the DVI standard. Its compact, lightweight design makes it convenient for mobile use and multiple workspace configurations. The adapter's connectors are color-matched in black for discrete installation and easy cable management.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops and desktop PCs with DisplayPort outputs to DVI monitors
• Using older DVI projectors with modern DisplayPort media players
• Temporary setups where a simple DisplayPort-to-DVI connection is needed
• Home office, classroom, or meeting-room displays that require DisplayPort to DVI conversion

Key specifications

• Input connector: DisplayPort (female)
• Output connector: DVI
• Colour: Black
• Signal type: Digital video conversion from DisplayPort to DVI
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort-equipped source device to the adapter's DisplayPort female connector using an appropriate DisplayPort plug or cable. Then attach a DVI cable from the adapter's DVI end to the DVI input on the monitor or projector. Power on both devices and select the correct input on the display if necessary. The adapter is intended for passive conversion where the source supports DVI signaling over DisplayPort; no driver installation is normally required.

Recommendations

Use high-quality DisplayPort and DVI cables to maintain signal integrity and avoid excessive cable lengths that may affect image quality. Verify the display's supported resolutions and refresh rates to ensure compatibility with the DVI standard before use. For dual-link DVI or high-resolution requirements beyond single-link DVI capabilities, confirm the source and display support the desired mode or consider an active converter if needed.
