Fischer 670408 csavar 100 mm

Fischer 670408 100 mm screws are metal wood fasteners engineered for reliable structural connections in woodworking and general construction. Each screw measures 100 mm in length, with a 60 mm threaded portion and a 5 mm thread diameter, supplied in a pack of 200 pieces for sustained work on medium to large projects. The screws are intended for use where strong shear and pull-out resistance are required in timber assemblies.

Advantages

These screws provide consistent thread engagement across the 60 mm threaded length, enabling secure grip in soft and hard wood types. The 5 mm thread diameter offers a balance between insertion torque and holding strength, reducing the need for pre-drilling in many applications. Supplied in a bulk pack of 200, they minimize interruptions during installation and are suitable for both manual and power-driven fastening tools.

Suitable for

• Wood-to-wood connections in carpentry and framing
• Decking and exterior timber fastening where durable metal screws are required
• Furniture assembly and repair that require long fasteners
• General construction tasks involving medium-thickness wooden members

Key specifications

• Overall length: 100 mm
• Threaded length: 60 mm
• Thread diameter: 5 mm
• Material: metal (steel)
• Pack quantity: 200 pieces

How to use

Select an appropriate driver or bit for the screw head and set the power tool to a controlled torque setting to avoid overdriving. For dense hardwoods or precision assemblies, pre-drilling a pilot hole slightly smaller than the thread diameter helps prevent splitting and ensures consistent insertion. Align the parts to be joined, apply steady pressure, and drive the screw until the head is flush or at the desired countersink depth.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant surface treatments or compatible coatings if the screws will be exposed to outdoor or humid environments for extended periods. When fastening near edges or ends of boards, increase the distance from the edge or use pilot holes to reduce the risk of splitting. Store in a dry place to prevent surface oxidation prior to use.
