HP Q1421B photo paper is a glossy, heavyweight inkjet paper designed for producing vivid photographic prints with sharp detail and a professional look. With a surface engineered to accept dye and pigment inks, this paper delivers saturated colors and clear highlights, while its 200 g/m² weight provides a firm feel suitable for handling, framing, and display. The sheet format and finish make it appropriate for both home and studio use when consistent print quality is required.

Advantages

The glossy coating promotes excellent color reproduction and image sharpness while reducing glare on fine details. The 200 g/m² weight enhances durability and resistance to curling compared to lighter papers. Compatibility with a wide range of inkjet printers ensures predictable drying times and consistent results across compatible devices. The paper’s surface finish is optimized to produce high-definition photographic output and to maintain color stability for everyday display.

Key specifications

• Compatibility: inkjet printers
• Weight: 200 g/m²
• Surface: ink-accepting coated photographic surface
• Recommended use: photographic prints and display

How to use

Load the photo paper glossy-side up as indicated by your printer’s manual and select the appropriate media type or photo paper setting in the printer driver. Allow prints to dry fully before stacking or handling to avoid smudging; drying time varies by ink type and printer model. For best results, use original or high-quality ink cartridges and set the printer to a high-resolution photo mode. Store unused sheets flat in their original packaging or in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture absorption and curling.

Recommendations

For optimal image quality, calibrate your printer color profile to the paper type when possible, and avoid touching the printed surface until it is completely dry. When framing, use acid-free mounts and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve color fidelity.
