Gedore 2676079 fogó

The Gedore 2676079 pliers are multifunctional hand tools for mechanical and electronic work, combining holding, cutting, insulation-stripping, crimping and squeezing functions in one compact design. Made from Gedore special hardened and tempered steel with drop-forged construction and oil hardening plus annealing, these pliers deliver precise cutting and durable performance. The tool weighs 200 g and has overall dimensions suitable for general workshop and field use.

Advantages

Flat-round jaws with straight, serrated gripping faces ensure secure handling of components and fasteners. Induction-hardened precision cutting edges (62–64 HRC) provide long-lasting sharpness and are suitable for medium-hard wire up to 1.6 mm. Two handle finish options—chrome-plated 2-component handles (JC) or steel-grey with blue dipped non-slip handles (TL)—offer comfort and slip resistance during repetitive tasks.

How to use

Use the flat-round jaws and serrated faces to grip or hold parts securely. For cutting tasks, position the medium-hard wire at the induction-hardened cutting edge and apply steady pressure to avoid twisting. Use the insulation-stripping section where available, and the crimping/squeezing area for connectors and fittings. Choose the handle finish that suits your working conditions to maintain a comfortable grip.

Recommendations

Inspect the pliers before each use for wear or damage, especially at the cutting edges. Do not exceed the specified cutting capacity (1.6 mm for medium-hard wire). Keep the tool clean and lightly lubricated at the pivot to ensure smooth operation and long service life.
