GraviTrax elem Spiral Ravensburger 22424 Multicolour

The GraviTrax Element Spiral from Ravensburger is an accessory for marble run systems that introduces vertical motion and controlled descent into existing GraviTrax layouts. Designed to integrate with compatible track elements, the multicolour Spiral adds a compact, space-saving way to extend run time and vary marble trajectories. Intended for experienced builders and hobbyists, this element emphasises physics-based play by converting horizontal speed into a spiralling vertical drop.

Advantages

The Spiral provides a smooth, continuous descent that reduces the need for long ramps and conserves horizontal space within a layout. Its multicolour design improves visual tracking of marbles in motion and helps builders identify entry and exit points quickly. The element is made to fit standard GraviTrax connections, which simplifies assembly and encourages experimentation with different heights and input speeds. Durable construction supports repeated use and interaction.

Suitable for

• Expanding existing GraviTrax marble run systems
• Demonstrations of gravity, centripetal force and energy transfer
• Compact layouts where vertical drop is preferred over horizontal length
• Hands-on STEM learning and hobby projects involving marble trajectories

Key specifications

• Accessory type: spiral descent element for marble run systems
• Compatibility: designed for GraviTrax-compatible connections and track elements
• Design: multicolour finish for visual tracking of marbles
• Function: converts horizontal momentum into controlled vertical spiral motion
• Recommended user level: skill toy accessory for experienced builders and hobbyists

How to use

Attach the Spiral to compatible GraviTrax track pieces according to the connection points; ensure the entry aligns with the incoming track and the exit feeds into the subsequent element or catcher. Test runs with a single marble help you adjust height and starting speed to achieve a stable spiral descent. Combine the Spiral with boosters, switches or funnels to influence marble speed and direction and to create varied sequences within your layout. Regularly inspect contact points for stable fit and remove debris that could impede marble movement.

Recommendations

Use the Spiral as part of a broader GraviTrax setup to maximise play variety: position it after a drop or accelerator to emphasise vertical motion, and pair it with catchers or slowers if precise stopping is required. Supervise younger users and follow general toy safety guidelines for marble-based construction sets.
