Helos üvegszálas kábel 2 m OS2 ST

The Helos 2m OS2 ST fibre optic cable is a 2-metre single-mode patch cable designed for point-to-point connections in network equipment and fibre infrastructure. It features ST connectors on both ends and a 9 µm core diameter consistent with OS2 single-mode specifications, providing low attenuation and stable signal transmission for long-distance and high-speed links. The cable supports full duplex communication and is intended for use where accurate optical performance and connector reliability are required.

Advantages

The cable combines single-mode OS2 optical fibre with ST connectors to deliver low signal loss and consistent optical performance. Its 2 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections without excess cabling. The ST connectors provide a secure bayonet-style coupling that is widely compatible with legacy and industrial networking devices. Overall construction ensures durability in typical indoor installations and reduces the need for frequent re-termination.

Key specifications

• Length: 2 metres
• Fibre type: Single-mode OS2
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connectors: ST–ST (bayonet)
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Typical usage environment: Indoor/network rack installations

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before insertion and remove protective caps. Align the ST connector with the equipment optical port, insert and twist the bayonet coupling until it locks. Use one fibre for each direction in full duplex applications, ensuring transmit (TX) and receive (RX) channels are correctly matched. Avoid tight bending; maintain minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fibres and secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Store with protective caps installed when not in use, clean endfaces with appropriate optical-grade cleaning tools before each connection, and route the cable away from high-interference electrical equipment. For long-term installations, verify insertion loss and return loss during commissioning to ensure the link meets system requirements.
