i-tec Thunderbolt 3 Dual DP videoadapter USB Type-C DisplayPort 1.2a

The i-tec Thunderbolt 3 Dual DP Video Adapter enables connection of one or two external DisplayPort monitors through a single Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) port. It supports DisplayPort 1.2a and offers single-monitor operation up to 5K (5120×2880@60Hz) when using two DisplayPort cables, or dual-monitor operation up to 2×4K (4096×2160@60Hz). The adapter is compatible with computers equipped with Thunderbolt 3 ports and provides stereo audio passthrough. Driver installation is automatic.

Advantages

The adapter provides high-resolution output with support for 5K and dual 4K displays, a compact design for easy transport, and a reversible USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 connector for simple plug-in. It is compatible with active HDMI, DVI and VGA adapters allowing connection to displays and TVs without native DisplayPort inputs. No manual driver installation is required on supported systems.

Suitable for

• Graphic designers and video editors working with 5K or 4K content
• Multitasking professionals who need two independent monitors
• CAD users and medical image viewing where high resolution is required
• Gamers and power users requiring multiple displays

How to use

Plug the adapter into a Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) port on your computer, then connect one or two monitors using DisplayPort cables. For a single 5K display, connect the monitor with two DisplayPort cables to the adapter and ensure the host graphics card supports 5K at 60 Hz. For dual 4K output, connect each monitor to a DisplayPort output. If your display lacks DisplayPort input, use a compatible active HDMI, DVI or VGA adapter. The system should automatically detect the displays and install any required drivers.

Recommendations

Use high-quality DisplayPort cables and ensure the host device supports Thunderbolt 3 and the required resolutions. For 5K@60Hz operation, verify the graphics card and monitor specifications and use two certified DisplayPort cables. When working with color-critical tasks, calibrate your displays after connecting.
