InLine PoE / PoE+ teszter InLine 79999I

The InLine PoE / PoE+ tester InLine 79999I is a compact handheld tool for verifying Power over Ethernet on network sockets and patch cables. It supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at compliant PoE supplies with nominal voltages in the 37–57 V range and connects to the network using the supplied short RJ45 cable. The tester indicates the presence and type of PoE feed and helps determine whether power is delivered via Endspan or Midspan wiring.

Advantages

The tester provides a simple visual indication of PoE presence and wiring type using LEDs, is compatible with both PoE and PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af / 802.3at) within the specified voltage range, and is compact and portable for on-site troubleshooting. It requires no configuration and uses a standard RJ45 connector for quick connection to sockets and cables.

Suitable for

• Quick verification of PoE / PoE+ availability on network sockets
• Testing patch cables and installed RJ45 ports for PoE wiring
• Field troubleshooting by network technicians and installers

Key specifications

• Standards: IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at compatible
• Voltage range supported: 37–57 V
• Connector: RJ45 (uses supplied short cable)
• Colour: Black
• Brand/Model: InLine 79999I

How to use

Connect the tester's RJ45 plug to the device using the supplied short cable, and insert the other end into the test RJ45 port or wall socket to be checked. Observe the LED indicators: if the Endspan LED lights, PoE is present on pins 1, 2, 3 and 6; if the Midspan LED lights, PoE is present on pins 4, 5, 7 and 8. If no LED lights up, the tested connector does not provide PoE voltage.

Recommendations

Do not use the tester for telephone or ISDN lines — these standards and voltages are not supported. Use the device only within the supported voltage range (37–57 V) and follow standard safety practices when working on live network equipment.
