iStorage 5 TB USB 3.2 IS-DAP2-256-5000-C-G HDD

The iStorage diskAshur PRO2 5TB USB 3.2 external hard drive provides hardware-based AES-XTS 256-bit encryption and PIN authentication in a self-contained, software-free design. This portable HDD, model IS-DAP2-256-5000-C-G, uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface for fast data transfer and is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, Chrome and other devices with a USB port. The drive incorporates a dedicated secure microprocessor with physical tamper protections and an automated deadlock response to active attacks, ensuring data cannot be accessed without the correct 7–15 digit PIN.

Advantages

The diskAshur PRO2 combines certified hardware encryption (AES-XTS 256-bit) with a built-in keypad for PIN-only access, eliminating the need for software. It supports cross-platform use via USB 3.2 Gen 1, delivers high read and write performance, and includes hardware protections against tampering and bypass attempts. Certifications include NCSC CPA, FIPS 140-2 Level 2, NLNCSA BSPA and NATO Restricted Level, making it suitable for environments with strict security requirements.

Suitable for

• Secure storage and transport of sensitive corporate or personal data
• Compliance with regulatory and organisational security requirements
• Use with multiple operating systems and devices via USB connection

How to use

Power the diskAshur PRO2 from a USB port and enter your unique 7–15 digit PIN on the built-in keypad to unlock the drive. No software installation is required; once unlocked the drive functions as a standard external HDD for file transfer and storage. To relock, either power down the host device or use the keypad to manually lock the drive according to the user guide.

Recommendations

Choose a PIN that is not easily guessable, store the PIN securely and keep regular backups of critical data. Do not attempt to bypass the keypad or tamper with the device; the drive will enter a deadlock state in response to automated attack attempts, which will render data inaccessible without following manufacturer recovery procedures.
