Kábelátvezető EFB Elektronik 37546.4-100

The EFB Elektronik 37546.4-100 cable boot is designed for RJ-45 connectors and provides a protective cover for network plugs. Made in a durable black material, it helps shield connector heads from dust, abrasion and mechanical stress while preserving access to the plug latch. The slim profile maintains cable flexibility and minimizes bulk behind patch panels and wall sockets.

Advantages

This cable boot reduces wear on RJ-45 connector housings and strain on the cable near the plug, extending the service life of network leads. Its robust construction offers reliable protection against dust and incidental impacts without interfering with the connector's locking mechanism. The low-profile design facilitates neat cable routing and compatibility with dense installations.

Suitable for

• Category Ethernet patch cables with RJ-45 connectors
• Office and data center patch panels and switches
• Field cabling where connector protection is required
• Environments that require compact, low-profile cable terminations

Key specifications

• Colour: black
• Intended connector type: RJ-45
• Design: protective boot for plug head and strain relief area
• Profile: slim, low-profile to reduce bulk behind panels
• Material properties: durable, abrasion-resistant polymer

How to use

Slide the cable boot onto the cable before terminating the RJ-45 connector. After crimping the connector onto the cable, push the boot forward until it fully covers the connector head and the cable entry point. Ensure the latch opening aligns with the plug clip so the connector can lock into jacks and patch panels without obstruction.

Recommendations

For best results use the boot on cables where repeated plugging and unplugging occurs or where additional protection against dust and mechanical stress is required. Verify fit on the specific RJ-45 connector style before bulk installation to ensure latch clearance and correct strain relief performance.
