Knipex 02 02 225 kombinált fogó

The Knipex 02 02 225 Lineman's pliers are purpose-built hand tools for cutting, gripping and twisting wires. Constructed from durable steel with a precision-machined joint and fitted with a two-tone blue and red insulated handle, these pliers measure 225 mm in length and provide firm leverage and controlled handling for electrical and general installation work. The compact head geometry and hardened cutting edges deliver clean cuts on copper and aluminum conductors, while the serrated gripping surfaces enable secure holding of cables and components.

Advantages

These lineman's pliers combine robust material construction with ergonomic handle design to reduce hand fatigue during extended use. The hardened cutting edges retain sharpness for repeated operations, and the precise joint ensures low backlash and consistent alignment of the jaws. The insulated, slip-resistant grips improve control in confined spaces, and the overall size balances reach with maneuverability for professional tasks.

Suitable for

• Cutting and stripping copper and aluminum electrical conductors
• Gripping and bending wires during electrical installation
• Twisting and forming wire connections and splices
• General-purpose gripping and light demolition work on construction sites

Key specifications

• Overall length: 225 mm
• Handle height: 54 mm
• Handle width: 23 mm
• Material: durable steel with hardened cutting edges
• Handle type: two-tone insulated, slip-resistant grips
• Joint: precision-machined for consistent jaw alignment

How to use

Position the jaws around the conductor or component to be cut, gripped, or bent. Apply steady pressure on the handles to perform cutting or twisting actions; use the serrated jaw faces to hold objects securely while shaping or pulling. For wire cutting, place the conductor as close to the hinge as practical to maximize leverage and produce a clean sever. Keep fingers behind the guard of the grips and maintain a stable working posture for accurate control.

Recommendations

Inspect the pliers regularly for wear, damage or burrs on the cutting edges. Do not use the tool on live electrical circuits unless it is specified and tested for live-line work. Clean and lightly oil the joint periodically to maintain smooth operation and store the pliers in a dry environment to prevent corrosion.
