Knipex 74 02 200 oldalvágó

The Knipex 74 02 200 diagonal pliers are designed for heavy-duty, continuous use and precise wire cutting. Made from forged chrome vanadium steel with oil hardening, these 200 mm pliers provide reliable durability and good leverage for precision tasks. The cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 64 HRC, enabling clean cuts even through hard materials such as piano wire. They are suitable for cutting wires and small pins up to a maximum diameter of 4.2 mm.

Advantages

High cutting performance with minimal effort due to optimized cutting edge angle and transmission ratio. Precision cutting edges are induction hardened (approx. 64 HRC) for long-lasting sharpness. Forged chrome vanadium heavy‑duty steel with oil hardening ensures robust construction and extended service life. Compact 200 mm length balances reach and control while weighing 304 g for steady handling.

Suitable for

• Cutting soft and hard wires, including piano wire
• Electrical and electronic assembly tasks
• Metalworking and precision mechanical work
• Cutting small pins, nails, and cable ties up to 4.2 mm diameter

How to use

Position the jaws around the wire or object near the desired cutting point, keeping your hand steady and the pliers aligned with the cut. Apply even pressure to the handles until the material is severed. For best results with hard wire such as piano wire, make sure the cutting edge contacts the material squarely and use controlled single or repeated cuts rather than twisting. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.

Recommendations

Use these diagonal pliers only for cutting tasks within the specified diameter range and avoid prying or cutting hardened bolts beyond their intended application. Regularly inspect the cutting edges for wear and maintain lubrication on the joint for smooth operation.
