KS Tools 330.1650 fúró

The KS Tools 330.1650 drill bit is manufactured from rolled high-speed steel (HSS-R) to provide a balance of hardness and toughness for general workshop and DIY use. Designed for use on materials such as metal, plastic and wood, this twist drill delivers precise, clean holes and reliable performance for a wide range of repair, maintenance and fabrication tasks.

Advantages

The rolled high-speed steel construction gives the drill bit good resistance to wear while maintaining a degree of flexibility that reduces breakage risk under typical use. Its precision ground geometry promotes accurate centring and smooth cutting, resulting in neat hole edges and reduced burr formation. The universal material compatibility simplifies tool selection by handling metal, plastic and wood without needing separate specialized bits.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in mild steel, sheet metal and non-ferrous metals
• Creating clean holes in plastics and acrylics
• Woodworking tasks including cabinet and furniture assembly
• General maintenance, repair and fabrication projects

Key specifications

• Material: Rolled high-speed steel (HSS-R)
• Tip type: Twist drill geometry for general-purpose drilling
• Compatible materials: Metal, plastic, wood
• Intended use: Manual or machine drilling in workshop and DIY settings

How to use

Secure the workpiece and mark the drilling position. Select an appropriate drilling speed and feed rate for the material: lower speeds for hard metals, moderate speeds for plastics, and higher speeds for wood. Use a drill press or hand drill with a suitable chuck, ensure the bit is firmly clamped, and apply steady pressure while keeping the bit perpendicular to the surface. Clear swarf periodically to prevent clogging and allow the bit to cool when drilling metal to preserve cutting edges.

Recommendations

For best results, use cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling metals, and reduce speed when penetrating plastics to avoid melting. Start holes with a centre punch on sheet metal to prevent walking. Inspect the drill bit for wear or dulling before precision tasks and replace when accuracy suffers.
