Lanberg PPU6-9012-B patch panel

The Lanberg PPU6-9012-B patch panel is a passive, metal 10" rack-mounted unit for termination and organization of twisted-pair cables in fast telecommunications systems. It measures 215 mm wide, 44.5 mm high and 32.5 mm deep, has a black finish and provides twelve unshielded RJ-45 Category 6 ports for structured cabling in main and secondary distribution points.

Advantages

The panel uses IDC/LSA type punch-down connectors for fast and straightforward installation and reliable terminations. Its compact 1U height and standard 10" rack width support tidy cable management in confined rack spaces. Constructed from metal, the unit offers durable housing suitable for professional and home network environments.

Suitable for

• Termination and labeling of Cat6 UTP horizontal and patch cables
• Use in main and secondary distribution frames in small and medium network closets
• 10" rack installations requiring a 1U, 12-port patch panel

How to use

Mount the patch panel into a compatible 10" rack cabinet using appropriate rack screws. Connect patch cords to the front RJ-45 ports to link network devices or switches. Ensure cable ties or management bars are used to relieve strain on terminations.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use Category 6 certified cables and test each link after installation with a cable tester. Keep the panel in a ventilated rack area and avoid excessive bending of cables near terminations to preserve signal integrity.
