Lindy 38291 HDMI-VGA konverter

The Lindy HDMI to VGA Converter (model 38291) converts an HDMI output into an analogue VGA signal, allowing modern HDMI-equipped devices such as PCs, notebooks and ultrabooks to be connected to older VGA monitors or projectors. It supports resolutions up to 1080p and 1920x1200 for PC VGA displays, and its compact, lightweight design with a 0.1 m cable makes it suitable for use in confined spaces and for travel.

Advantages

This converter provides plug-and-play operation without external power, features an HDMI Type A connector and a VGA (D-Sub) output for broad compatibility, and offers support for common HD and WUXGA resolutions. Its small size and low weight make it easy to carry and integrate into temporary setups such as presentations or additional display arrangements.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops, PCs or ultrabooks with HDMI outputs to VGA monitors or projectors
• Presentations in meeting rooms or classrooms
• Adding a secondary VGA display to extend desktop workspace

How to use

Connect the HDMI Type A plug to the HDMI output of your source device and the VGA connector to the VGA input of the display or projector. The converter is plug-and-play; after connecting both ends the display should detect the analogue VGA signal and show the image at the supported resolution. Adjust display settings on the source device if necessary to match the monitor’s native resolution.

Recommendations

Use with devices that output standard HDMI video signals. For best results, set the source resolution to a supported VGA resolution such as 1920x1200 or 1080p and use a working VGA cable between the converter and display. This adapter does not convert VGA to HDMI and may not pass HDCP-protected content.
