Lindy 71261 USB 3.2 Type-A A 90° adapter

The Lindy USB 3.2 Type A to A 90° Adapter (model 71261) provides a compact solution for connecting USB Type A cables and devices when straight access is restricted. With USB 3.0 / USB 3.2 Gen 1 compatible Type A connectors and a right-angle design, it minimises cable strain and fits neatly behind PC towers, displays and other equipment in confined spaces. The adapter is finished in black to match common device colours.

Advantages

The adapter supports data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps for fast file transfers and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 devices. Its 90° angled housing reduces bending stress on cables and connectors, helping to prolong cable life and maintain reliable connections. The compact form factor simplifies cable management in tight installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Type A cables to devices in tight or recessed locations
• Rear I/O of PC towers
• Behind monitors, TVs and AV equipment
• Situations where reduced cable bend radius is required

Key specifications

• Model: Lindy 71261
• Connector 1: USB 3.0 Type A (female)
• Connector 2: USB 3.0 Type A (male)
• Standard: USB 3.2 Gen 1 (backwards compatible with USB 2.0/1.1)
• Maximum data rate: up to 5 Gbps
• Colour: Black

How to use

Insert the adapter's male Type A plug into the device's USB Type A port, aligning the connector orientation with the port. Then connect a standard USB Type A cable to the adapter's female Type A inlet. Ensure connections are secure but do not force connectors; if resistance is felt, check alignment. Use the right-angle orientation to route the cable along the surface of the device to reduce bending tension.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use USB 3.0/3.2 compatible cables and avoid subjecting the adapter to excessive mechanical stress or liquids. If high-power devices are connected, verify that the host port supplies adequate current; otherwise use a powered hub or direct powered connection.
