Menedzselt switch Trendnet TPE-1620WS

TRENDnet TPE-1620WS is a managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 16 Gigabit PoE+ RJ-45 ports and two shared SFP slots. The switch delivers a 32 Gbps switching capacity, a MAC address table of 16,000 entries, support for IEEE PoE standards and energy-saving GREENnet features, and is designed for rack mounting in a 1U form factor.

Advantages

The TPE-1620WS provides centralized network management with advanced traffic control, monitoring and troubleshooting functions while supplying up to PoE+ power to connected devices. It supports a broad set of IEEE standards for interoperability, offers a 32 Gbps switching fabric and efficient MAC address handling, and includes energy-saving and security features suitable for managed network environments.

Suitable for

• Small and medium business networks requiring PoE power for IP phones and wireless access points
• Rack-mounted wiring closets and branch office network deployments
• Environments needing managed Layer 2 features such as VLANs, link aggregation and QoS

How to use

Install the TPE-1620WS in a standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting brackets or place it on a stable surface. Connect network devices to the 16 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and optional fiber links to the shared SFP slots. Configure management settings via the web smart interface (IPv6 ready) to set VLANs, QoS, link aggregation and PoE priorities, then monitor traffic and logs for operational status and troubleshooting.

Recommendations

For reliable PoE+ power delivery, ensure the total powered device load does not exceed the switch's available PoE budget and follow IEEE 802.3at/af device compatibility guidelines. Use the management features to segment traffic with VLANs and enable energy-saving GREENnet where appropriate to reduce power consumption.
