MicroConnect USBAPS2F is a compact cable gender changer that converts a USB Type A Male connection to a PS/2 Mini-DIN Female. The adapter has a green finish and is designed to provide a simple physical interface conversion between USB and PS/2 connectors for compatible peripherals and legacy systems.

Advantages

The MicroConnect USBAPS2F offers a small, lightweight form factor and straightforward plug-and-play usage where electrical and protocol compatibility exists. Its green housing makes it easy to identify among other cables, and the solid build supports repeated insertion and removal without excessive wear.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Type A devices to systems with PS/2 Mini-DIN female ports (when protocol-compatible)
• Legacy system setups that require physical connector adaptation
• Technicians and users needing a compact gender changer for testing or temporary connections

How to use

Insert the USB Type A Male plug of the MicroConnect USBAPS2F into the USB device or cable you wish to adapt. Then connect the PS/2 Mini-DIN Female end to the corresponding PS/2 male connector on the target system or extension cable. Ensure connectors are aligned and fully seated to maintain a reliable physical connection. Verify device compatibility and drivers on the host system, as this adapter only provides a physical conversion and does not convert electrical signalling or protocols by itself.

Recommendations

Use this adapter only when the connected devices are protocol-compatible; for many USB peripherals, an active converter or proper PS/2-compatible hardware is required. Avoid applying excessive force when connecting or disconnecting, and store the adapter away from extreme temperatures and moisture.
