Nem menedzselt switch PLANET ISW-621

The PLANET ISW-621 is an unmanaged industrial Fast Ethernet switch in a compact IP-30 metal case. It provides four 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports with auto-negotiation and two 100Base-FX multi‑mode SC fiber interfaces for up to 2 km (the ISW-621S15 variant uses single‑mode SC interfaces for up to 15 km). The slim design supports DIN-rail or wall mounting and an integrated wide-range 12–48 V DC power input for installations that require robust, space-efficient network expansion in industrial environments.

Advantages

The switch offers stable operation in demanding conditions with operating temperatures from -10 to 60 °C, immunity to electromagnetic interference and electrical surges, and a rugged metal housing. It delivers non-blocking switch fabric and wire-speed throughput (up to 1 Gbps switching capacity) with a 2K MAC address table for reliable packet forwarding. All RJ-45 ports support 10/100 Mbps auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, simplifying cabling and deployment.

Suitable for

• Industrial control systems and factory floor networking
• Traffic control cabinets and roadside installations
• Compact cabinet or rack spaces requiring DIN-rail or wall mounting
• Media conversion between copper Ethernet and short- or long‑reach fiber links (depending on model)

How to use

Mount the ISW-621 on a DIN rail or attach it to a wall inside a suitable enclosure. Connect the DC power supply within the 12–48 V range to the power input terminals. Use Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 cables to connect Ethernet devices to the RJ-45 ports; the ports will auto-negotiate speed and perform auto MDI/MDI-X where needed. Use SC fiber patch cords to connect fiber links to the 100Base-FX interfaces, observing the appropriate multi‑mode or single‑mode type for the chosen model. No configuration is required for basic switching operations.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, install the switch in a ventilated enclosure away from extreme heat sources, ensure proper grounding to reduce electromagnetic interference, and use a stable DC power source within the specified 12–48 V range. Match the fiber type (multi‑mode for ISW-621, single‑mode for ISW-621S15) and connector type (SC) when extending fiber links.
