Omnitronic 13030904 hangszer-mikrofon

The Omnitronic 13030904 instrument microphone is a wired dynamic microphone designed for close capture of acoustic and amplified instruments. It covers a frequency range of 30–18,000 Hz and provides a nominal sensitivity of -38 dB, making it suitable for capturing low-frequency fundamentals as well as detailed mid and high content. The microphone uses a balanced XLR-3 connection for secure signal transfer and a measured signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB for clear audio capture in live and studio environments.

Advantages

The microphone's wide frequency response and moderate sensitivity allow reliable reproduction of a variety of instruments from bass and acoustic guitar to brass and percussion. Its wired XLR connection ensures a stable, low-noise analog signal path and compatibility with standard mixers, preamps and audio interfaces. The metal housing and silver finish provide durable protection and a professional appearance while enabling easy handling during setup and performance.

How to use

Connect the microphone to a mixer, microphone preamp or audio interface using a standard XLR cable. Place the microphone close to the sound source—typically 1–15 cm for amplified cabinets or acoustic instruments—adjusting distance and angle to balance low-end presence and transient detail. Set input gain on your mixing console or interface so that signal peaks avoid clipping while maintaining a healthy level above the noise floor. Use EQ, high-pass filtering or padding on the preamp only as required by the instrument and the acoustic environment.

Recommendations

For consistent live performance results, position the microphone slightly off-axis from loudspeaker cones to reduce harshness, and test placement during soundcheck to find the optimal balance between warmth and clarity. In studio use, experiment with small changes in distance and angle to capture the desired blend of body and attack; use a pop/filter only where necessary to control strong plosives from close vocal-like sources.
