The fast connectors are suitable for terminating optical lines wherever conventional glued optical connectors are used, e.g. for terminating optical fibres in building switch boxes.

• SC/UPC CONNECTORS: SC connectors are designed for use in telecommunications. They are also used in active devices such as video converters and media. They ensure quick and easy connection and are resistant to connection defects. The shape of the joint allows for easy and safe installation. In addition to telecommunications applications, the SC fiber optic connector is used in LAN and WAN networks, CATV networks, measurement techniques, sensor systems and on railways. The UPC connector has a flat polished ferrule face. Due to the risk of damage, the APC and UPC connectors cannot be paired with each other.

The fast connector allows the termination of optical fiber without the need for welding.
