Videokábel-adapter ShiverPeaks BS10-59045

The ShiverPeaks BS10-59045 is a 3 m video cable adapter that converts USB Type-C output to VGA (D-Sub) input. Designed to connect modern laptops, tablets, and smartphones with USB-C video output to legacy VGA monitors, projectors and displays, this adapter provides a straightforward wired solution for transmitting video signals. Its 3 m length offers flexibility in placement without relying on wireless connections.

Advantages

This USB Type-C to VGA adapter combines a simple plug-and-play connection with a cable long enough for typical presentation and workstation setups. The adapter supports analog VGA displays without requiring additional drivers on most devices with native USB-C video support. The cable construction balances portability and reach, reducing the need for extenders or adapters while maintaining a compact form factor for storage and transport.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB-C laptops and tablets to VGA projectors during presentations
• Linking modern smartphones with video output to older VGA monitors
• Setting up secondary displays for workstations that use VGA inputs
• Home entertainment systems where a VGA display is the only available external monitor

Key specifications

• Connector A: USB Type-C (video-capable)
• Connector B: VGA (D-Sub) 15-pin
• Cable length: 3 meters
• Signal type: digital USB-C input to analog VGA output
• Compatibility: devices with USB-C video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode)

How to use

Connect the USB Type-C plug to a compatible device that supports video output via USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode). Plug the VGA end into the VGA input of the monitor or projector and secure the D-Sub screws if available to ensure a stable mechanical connection. Select the correct input on the display device and configure the source device's display settings (mirroring, extended desktop, resolution) as needed. No separate power source is required; the adapter draws necessary power from the connected USB-C device.

Recommendations

For reliable video transmission, use devices that explicitly support video over USB-C. Keep cable bends gentle and avoid tight coils to maintain signal integrity. When using projectors or older displays, set the source resolution to a standard VGA-compatible mode (such as 1024x768 or 1280x720) if automatic detection fails.
