Zipper ZI-ELB70 benzinmotoros földfúró

The Zipper ZI-ELB70 petrol earth auger combines a 1500 W engine with a 51.7 cm³ displacement and a maximum speed of 3000 RPM to deliver consistent drilling performance for planting, fencing and landscaping. Weighing 11.5 kg and fitted with a 70 cm drill bit, this auger is designed to reach deeper soil layers while remaining manageable for a single operator. The robust housing in black and green and the machine’s structural components are built for outdoor use and regular operation on a variety of soil types.

Advantages

The petrol drive provides continuous high torque for drilling into compacted or mixed soils without relying on external power sources. With a 70 cm drill bit and a relatively low overall weight, the unit balances depth capability and portability. The engine’s maximum speed of 3000 RPM supports efficient chip removal and steady penetration rates, while the construction materials and layout prioritise durability and straightforward maintenance.

Suitable for

• Planting trees and shrubs that require deep holes
• Installing fence posts and signposts in garden and rural settings
• Preparing ground for decking posts and pergolas
• Landscaping tasks requiring repeated hole digging
• Construction and agricultural sites where portable drilling is needed

Key specifications

• Engine power: 1500 W
• Displacement: 51.7 cm³
• Maximum speed: 3000 RPM
• Weight: 11.5 kg
• Drill bit length: 70 cm
• Drive type: petrol (handheld auger)

How to use

Before starting, check fuel level and inspect the drill bit and mounting hardware for secure attachment and any visible damage. Start the engine according to the manufacturer’s instructions, hold the handles with a stable stance, and engage the throttle gradually to reach working speed. Position the auger at the required location, keep the tool vertical for straight holes, and allow the engine to carry the bit into the soil without forcing. Withdraw the auger periodically to clear cuttings and prevent clogging. After completing work, stop the engine, allow components to cool, and clean soil from the bit and housing before storage.

Recommendations

Use protective equipment such as gloves, eye protection and sturdy footwear. For very hard, rocky, or heavily compacted soils, pre-loosen the ground or use a smaller pilot hole to prevent overload. Maintain regular engine checks, clean the air filter and tighten fastenings after initial use. Store the auger in a dry place and drain fuel if storing for an extended period.
