Behringer C-1 mikrofon

The Behringer C-1 is a studio condenser microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern designed for clear capture of vocals and instruments. With a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz and low self-noise, it delivers accurate sound reproduction across the audible range. The microphone's robust construction makes it suitable for repeated use in home and project studios as well as in controlled live environments where a focused pickup pattern is required.

Advantages

The cardioid polar pattern reduces off-axis noise and ambient room reflections, improving signal clarity for close-miked vocals and instruments. A wide frequency response ensures natural reproduction of low and high frequencies, while the low self-noise preserves detail during quiet passages. Solid build quality and a straightforward design provide reliable day-to-day performance and compatibility with standard microphone stands and shock mounts.

Suitable for

• Vocal recording in home and project studios
• Acoustic and electric instruments (guitar, piano, woodwinds)
• Podcasting and voiceover work in treated rooms
• Studio tracking and overdubbing sessions
• Live situations requiring a cardioid condenser with controlled pickup

Key specifications

• Transducer type: condenser
• Polar pattern: cardioid
• Frequency response: 40 Hz – 20 kHz
• Low self-noise suitable for detailed recording
• Durable metal construction for studio use

How to use

Mount the microphone on a stable stand and position it 10–30 cm from the sound source for vocals, adjusting distance to control proximity effect and room ambience. Use a pop filter for close vocal work to reduce plosives. Connect the microphone to a microphone preamp or audio interface that provides the required condenser microphone phantom power, and set input gain to avoid clipping while preserving dynamic detail. Monitor with headphones and make small position adjustments to find the optimal balance between direct sound and room tone.

Recommendations

For best results, use the Behringer C-1 in an acoustically treated space or with close-miking techniques to minimize room reflections. Pair with a quality preamp and microphone cable to ensure clean signal flow; use a pop filter and shock mount to reduce handling noise and plosives when recording vocals.
