Behringer ECM Pro mikrofon

The Behringer ECM Pro is a professional measurement microphone engineered for precise acoustic analysis and reliable sound capture. With a wide frequency response and low self-noise, this microphone is suitable for tasks where accuracy and sensitivity matter. Its compact, robust construction supports consistent performance in studio and live environments while enabling convenient placement for measurement and recording tasks.

Advantages

The microphone delivers an extended frequency range and low inherent noise, allowing for clear capture of subtle sonic details. High sensitivity ensures accurate level readings and consistent measurement results. The solid mechanical design provides durability for repeated use in different settings, and the compact form factor simplifies positioning during acoustic tests or close-miking applications.

Suitable for

• Room acoustics measurement and analysis
• Calibration of audio systems and speakers
• Studio and field test recordings
• Live sound system tuning and verification

Key specifications

• Frequency response: wide, suitable for measurement across typical audio bands
• Low self-noise for improved signal-to-noise ratio in measurements
• High sensitivity for accurate level detection
• Compact and durable housing for reliable handling and placement
• Compatible with standard measurement workflows and preamps

How to use

Place the Behringer ECM Pro in the listening or measurement position, using a stand or mounting adapter as required. Connect the microphone to an appropriate preamplifier or measurement interface with the correct cable and ensure phantom power if the measurement setup requires it. Perform a calibration sweep or reference measurement to confirm system levels and frequency response. During recording or measurement, avoid obstructing the capsule and minimize reflective surfaces near the microphone unless reflections are part of the test scenario.

Recommendations

For accurate acoustic measurement results, use a calibrated measurement chain, position the microphone according to standard measurement practices, and perform periodic verification against a known reference. Handle the microphone by its body, keep the capsule protection clean, and store it in a protective case when not in use to maintain performance and reliability.
