Cimco 131324 glettvas

The Cimco 131324 putty knife is a hand tool designed for smoothing, scraping and spreading compounds during repair and finishing tasks. It has a durable stainless steel blade 18.5 cm long and 4 cm wide paired with a wooden handle shaped for a comfortable grip. The combination of a rust-resistant blade and an ergonomic wooden handle makes this putty knife suitable for repeated use in workshop and on-site environments.

Advantages

The stainless steel construction provides resistance to rust and corrosion while maintaining blade stiffness for effective spreading and scraping. The 18.5 cm length and 4 cm width of the blade balance reach and control, allowing even application of filler and adhesive materials. The wooden handle offers a tactile, non-slip surface that reduces hand fatigue during extended use and ensures a reliable grip in various working conditions.

Suitable for

• Applying and smoothing putty, filler and spackling compounds
• Scraping paint, old sealant and loose material from surfaces
• Spreading adhesives and thin-set materials in small repairs
• General finishing and detail work in carpentry and plastering

Key specifications

• Blade material: stainless steel
• Blade length: 18.5 cm
• Blade width: 4 cm
• Handle material: wood
• Tool type: putty/scraper knife for manual use

How to use

Hold the tool by the wooden handle with a comfortable grip and position the stainless steel blade at a low angle to the working surface for spreading filler or at a steeper angle for scraping. For application, load a small amount of compound onto the blade and move it across the surface with even pressure to achieve a smooth layer. For scraping, apply controlled force to remove loose material, taking care near edges and fragile surfaces. Clean the blade after use to maintain its condition and prevent compound buildup.

Recommendations

For best results, use the putty knife with compatible fillers and solvents as indicated by the compound manufacturer. Store the tool in a dry place to preserve the wooden handle and stainless steel blade. Regularly wipe the blade clean after use and lightly oil if needed to prevent surface discoloration; avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals that may affect the wooden handle.
