Fischer 670694 csavar 160 mm 50 darab

Fischer 670694 screws are metal wood screws with a total length of 160 mm and a nominal thread diameter of 6 mm. Supplied in a pack of 50 pieces, these screws are intended for fastening wooden components where deep penetration and firm hold are required. The partial thread design includes a 70 mm threaded portion to secure into wood while the unthreaded shank allows clamping of the top piece for a tight joint.

Advantages

These metal wood screws combine a long shank with a defined threaded length to provide reliable axial clamping and shear resistance in timber connections. The 6 mm diameter balances load capacity with ease of driving, and the 160 mm overall length permits use in thicker sections without requiring multiple fasteners. Supplied in a 50-piece pack, the set supports medium-scale projects and reduces the need for frequent reordering.

Key specifications

• Material: metal screw suitable for wood applications
• Total length: 160 mm
• Thread diameter: 6 mm
• Threaded length: 70 mm
• Pack size: 50 pieces
• Partial thread design with unthreaded shank portion for clamping

How to use

Pre-drill a pilot hole appropriate for a 6 mm diameter screw in the wood species being used to avoid splitting; the pilot hole diameter should match the core diameter of the screw for hardwoods and can be slightly smaller for softwoods. Position the screw so the unthreaded shank passes through the top member and the threaded portion engages the receiving piece. Drive the screw with a compatible bit until the head is flush or slightly recessed, taking care not to over-torque and strip the head or damage the wood.

Recommendations

For outdoor or moisture-exposed applications, use corrosion-protected screws or apply an appropriate surface treatment to the joint area. Select pilot hole diameters and driving torque according to wood density; consider using washers or countersinking if surface finish or load distribution requires it.
