Fogó Knipex 97 52 06

The Knipex 97 52 06 pliers are crimping pliers designed for solder-free electrical connections. Made from chrome vanadium electric steel with an oil-hardened finish and fitted with comfortable red plastic handles, they measure 250 mm in length and weigh 565 g. The tool offers precision dies and a self-releasing mechanism to ensure consistent crimp quality, and the crimping pressure is factory-calibrated and re-adjustable.

Advantages

The lever transmission reduces required hand force by up to 30% compared with regular crimping pliers, while the integral lock and precision dies deliver repetitive, high-quality crimps. Two-hand operation capability facilitates crimping of larger conductor diameters. Ergonomically shaped handles, an angled head and a well-balanced centre of gravity improve handling and control.

Suitable for

• Crimping insulated and non-insulated electrical connectors
• Installation and maintenance of electrical wiring
• Professional electrical work and demanding DIY projects
• Work requiring repeatable, calibrated crimp connections

How to use

Select the correct die and connector for the conductor size, insert the stripped conductor and connector into the crimp cavity, position the pliers so the crimping die aligns with the connector, then squeeze the handles using one or both hands until the mechanism releases. If necessary, adjust the calibrated crimping pressure according to the manufacturer's instructions before use. Inspect the crimp for secure mechanical and electrical contact after each operation.

Recommendations

Keep the pliers clean and lightly lubricate pivot points occasionally. Verify calibration periodically and have adjustments performed following Knipex guidelines. Do not use the tool on live circuits and avoid excessive side-loads that could damage the dies.
