Gedore 1552163 kábelvágó

The Gedore 1552163 cable cutter is a compact, precision tool designed for cutting medium-hard cables up to 1.6 mm. It features a slender head for access in confined spaces and is made from Gedore special hardened and tempered steel with a chrome finish. The tool is lightweight (231 g) and intended for professional and DIY use where clean, accurate cuts are required.

Advantages

Induction-hardened precision cutting edges with a hardness of 63–65 HRC provide long-lasting sharpness and reliable cutting performance. The slim head allows access to tight locations. Chrome-plated finish increases corrosion resistance, and handles with VDE insulating sleeves offer electrical protection up to 1000 V in accordance with EN 60900 / IEC 60900.

How to use

Position the slim head of the cable cutter around the conductor or cable insulation at the desired cutting point. Squeeze the handles firmly and evenly until the cutting edges close and sever the wire. For insulated cables, ensure the conductor is fully within the cutting zone before applying force. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe working practices when cutting live circuits; rely on the VDE insulation only when the tool and its sleeves are in good condition and rated for the voltage present.

Recommendations

Inspect the cutting edges and VDE insulating sleeves regularly for damage. Do not use the tool on wire sizes larger than specified or on hardened materials beyond its intended use. Clean and lubricate pivot points periodically and store the tool dry to maintain performance and insulation integrity.
