METZ CONNECT 130863T101E patchpanel 1U

The METZ CONNECT 130863T101E 1U patch panel is a rack-mounted cable management panel designed for installation in standard 19-inch cabinets. Engineered to occupy a single rack unit, it provides a compact and organized interface for terminating and routing network and communication cables. The panel's grey finish and compact dimensions—482.5 mm wide, 43.8 mm high and 130 mm deep—allow it to integrate into server rooms, telecommunications racks and structured cabling installations while complying with RoHS environmental requirements.

Advantages

This 1U patch panel delivers space-efficient rack mounting and a professional appearance suitable for many installations. Its compact depth supports shallow rack bays and wall-mounted enclosures, while the standardized width and height ensure compatibility with typical 19-inch rack systems. RoHS compliance reduces environmental impact and supports installations that require restricted hazardous substances.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in small and medium-sized data closets
• Telecommunications racks and network cabinets
• Patch fields for office LANs and voice systems
• Wall-mounted or shallow-depth enclosures

Key specifications

• Form factor: 1U rack-mounted panel
• Mounting width: 482.5 mm (fits standard 19-inch racks)
• Height: 43.8 mm (1 rack unit)
• Depth: 130 mm for use in shallow enclosures
• Color: grey finish
• Environmental compliance: RoHS compliant

How to use

Mount the patch panel in a standard 19-inch rack at the desired height using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts. Route network or communication cables to the rear of the panel and terminate according to the chosen connector format and cabling standard. Use cable management accessories and strain relief as needed to maintain bend radii and reduce mechanical stress on terminations. Label ports for easy identification and document connections in the network inventory system.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, combine the panel with compatible keystone or modular inserts and use compliant cabling standards for the intended network speed. Ensure sufficient airflow around the rack, avoid excessive cable bundling that can impede cooling, and perform periodic inspections of terminations to maintain connection quality.
