PLANET FSD-604HP nem menedzselt switch

The PLANET FSD-604HP is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet desktop switch with six RJ-45 ports and integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE). It provides four 802.3at PoE+ ports and two 10/100BASE-TX uplink ports to power and connect small HD IP surveillance systems. The compact metal housing and fanless design enable silent, reliable operation in various environments while the switch supports a switching capacity of 1.2 Gbit/s and a MAC address table of 2000 entries.

Advantages

The FSD-604HP delivers centralized power distribution for IP cameras and other PoE devices, reducing cabling and eliminating the need for separate power outlets. It offers a 60-watt total PoE budget, two 10/100Mbps uplinks for stable data transmission, port-based VLAN isolation via a DIP switch, and enhanced ESD and surge protection for improved network stability. The device supports an extend mode that can transmit both power and data up to 250 m at 10 Mbps with up to 30 W per port, allowing greater installation flexibility.

Suitable for

• Small-scale IP surveillance systems (up to 4 PoE cameras)
• Small offices and workgroups deploying PoE devices (IP phones, wireless APs, door phones)
• Environments requiring silent, fanless network equipment
• Installations needing extended PoE reach (up to 250 m) for remote cameras

How to use

Place the FSD-604HP on a stable surface and connect the uplink ports to your network recorder or switch using standard Ethernet cables. Connect PoE-capable IP cameras or other PoE devices to the four PoE ports; the switch will supply power and data over a single cable. Use the DIP switch to select Standard or Extend mode depending on required distance: Standard for normal IEEE 802.3at/af operation up to 100 m, or Extend mode to support transmission up to 250 m at reduced speed (10 Mbps) with up to 30 W per port. Configure network recording and monitoring on your NVR or surveillance software as needed; the unmanaged switch requires no additional configuration.

Recommendations

For stable surveillance operation, balance total PoE power consumption of connected devices to remain within the 60 W budget, use shielded or higher-quality cables for longer runs, and enable Extend mode only when cable distance exceeds 100 m. Place the switch in a ventilated area free from excessive heat despite its fanless design.
