S/FTP patch kábel Cat.5e ROLINE 15 m

The ROLINE S/FTP Patch Cord Cat.5e 15 m is a shielded network patch cable designed for reliable data transmission between devices. It uses a 4-pair stranded copper conductor with full braid shielding and aluminium-clad polyester foil to reduce electromagnetic interference. The cable is grey and supplied with screened RJ-45 connectors on both ends and moulded kink protection for increased durability.

Advantages

Prepared as a double-shielded (S/FTP) twisted pair cable, this patch cord offers enhanced protection against crosstalk and external interference. Flexible construction allows for narrow bending radii while maintaining longevity. High-quality RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts ensure stable connections and corrosion resistance. Contact wiring follows the EIA/TIA 568 1:1 standard for straightforward installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in LAN environments
• Wiring workstations, servers and networked devices within buildings
• Temporary or permanent cabling where EMI protection is required

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.5e
• Length: 15 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (braid + aluminium-clad polyester foil)
• Conductor: 4-pair stranded copper
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, screened
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Grey
• Wiring: 1:1 (EIA/TIA 568)

How to use

Plug the screened RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding network ports of your devices, ensuring secure seating at both ends. Route the cable avoiding sharp edges and excessive tension; use the moulded kink protection near the connectors to prevent damage at bending points. The 1:1 wiring requires no special configuration—devices will negotiate link parameters automatically when connected.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the patch cord in parallel with power cables over long distances and keep the cable within recommended bend radii. Use in indoor LAN installations; replace if connectors or shielding show visible wear.
