Trendnet TI-IG30 PoE-injektor

The PoE adapter Trendnet TI-IG30 is an industrial-grade Gigabit PoE+ injector designed for harsh environments. Rated IP30 and built with hardened components, the TI-IG30 injects power and data over a single Ethernet cable to power PoE, PoE+, and high-power PoE+ devices up to 100 meters (328 ft) from a non-PoE Gigabit switch. The compact unit (104 x 82 x 32 mm, 0.134 kg) supports 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data rates, accepts a 48–56 V DC input and has a maximum power consumption of 36 W. Dual redundant DC power inputs (power supply sold separately: TI-S12048) and overload current protection support continuous operation in industrial applications.

Advantages

Industrial IP30 design with hardened components ensures reliable operation in demanding environments. Gigabit Ethernet support provides full 10/100/1000 Mbit/s throughput for networked devices. The injector supports PoE, PoE+ and high-power PoE+ devices and can deliver power over standard Ethernet cabling up to 100 m. Dual redundant power inputs with overload protection reduce the risk of downtime. Compact, black housing with both DIN-rail and wall-mount hardware included simplifies installation.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Powering and networking PoE cameras and IP video equipment in industrial settings
• Supplying PoE/PoE+ wireless access points at remote or ceiling locations
• Connecting PoE-enabled access control, sensors, and industrial IoT devices
• Adding PoE power to a non-PoE Gigabit switch in factory or infrastructure deployments

How to use

Mount the TI-IG30 on a DIN rail or wall using the supplied hardware. Connect a non-PoE Gigabit switch to the injector’s data input RJ-45 port, then connect the injector’s PoE RJ-45 output to the PoE device using Cat5e or higher cable, keeping the run under 100 m. Provide DC power to the injector through one or both redundant DC input connectors using a compatible 48 V power supply (TI-S12048 sold separately). Ensure the power source is sized to supply the required wattage for the connected PoE device and observe polarity and wiring recommendations from the power supply manufacturer.

Recommendations

For reliable operation in industrial environments, use shielded Cat5e or better cable, mount the unit away from sources of severe vibration, and employ the redundant power input with a compatible TI-S12048 power supply to maintain continuous uptime. Verify device power requirements before connecting high-power PoE+ equipment.
