Digitus DN-91524U-1 1U patch panel

The Digitus 1U patch panel DN-91524U-1 is designed for organizing and terminating Cat5e U/UTP network cabling in standard 19-inch racks. The unit provides 24 ports in a compact 1U metal housing finished in black, offering a space-efficient solution for small and medium-sized network racks. Its shallow depth and light weight simplify mounting and cable routing while maintaining a tidy front panel for clear port access.

Advantages

The patch panel supports 24 Cat5e U/UTP connections in a single 1U footprint, reducing rack space consumption. The black metal housing provides durable protection and a professional appearance. Its compact dimensions and low weight make installation and handling easier during rack deployment and reconfiguration. The front-facing ports allow straightforward cable management and fast access for patching and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Small and medium office network racks
• Data closets and server cabinets with limited depth
• Structured cabling installations using Cat5e U/UTP cables
• Environments requiring clear front access for frequent patching

Route and secure cables to avoid strain on terminations, then connect active equipment or patch cords to the front RJ45 ports for network distribution and patching operations.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use Cat5e U/UTP cable of appropriate quality and maintain correct pair untwisting limits during termination. Label ports clearly to simplify management, and secure cables with cable ties or horizontal managers to reduce mechanical stress and maintain signal integrity.
