Telegärtner 50-portos Cat.3 ISDN patchpanel

The Telegärtner ISDN patch panel with 50 unshielded Cat. 3 ports is a 1U rack-mount unit designed for organized termination of ISDN lines. Finished in light grey (RAL 7035), it provides 50 RJ-45 connectors and conforms to DIN IEC 60068-1 standards. With compact dimensions (480 mm × 44.2 mm × 128.3 mm), the panel is intended for professional telecommunication racks and structured cabling installations where reliable ISDN connectivity and space-efficient mounting are required.

Advantages

This 50-port Cat. 3 patch panel allows centralised management of ISDN circuits in a single 1U rack unit, reducing cabinet space usage. The use of standard RJ-45 connectors simplifies wiring and replacement, while the light grey RAL 7035 finish offers a neutral appearance for equipment racks. Compliance with DIN IEC 60068-1 indicates resistance to common environmental stresses encountered in telecommunications environments.

Suitable for

• ISDN line termination and distribution in telecommunication racks
• Structured cabling installations using Cat. 3 cabling
• Small to medium-sized PBX and voice/data integration setups
• Environments requiring a compact 1U rack-mounted solution

How to use

Install the patch panel into a standard 19-inch rack using the front mounting holes provided, occupying one rack unit (1U). Terminate incoming ISDN cables to the rear termination points or punch-down connections according to the wiring scheme for Cat. 3. Connect equipment-side patch cords to the front RJ-45 ports for distribution. Ensure cable routing and strain relief are applied to prevent mechanical stress on terminations.

Recommendations

For reliable ISDN performance, use Category 3 cabling and maintain proper labeling of ports. Avoid exposing the panel to extreme temperatures or moisture beyond the limits specified in DIN IEC 60068-1. Apply standard cable management practices and perform regular inspections to ensure secure terminations.
